We have a little under a month left of summer (the first day of Fall is September 23), and we hope you’ve been taking full advantage of the sun. Whether or not you feel completely confident with your body, or specifically your legs, there are so many great sun-filled activities to do in Atlantic County, Cape May County and Ocean County, New Jersey, and with the temperature still high, you should definitely throw on your shorts and get out and enjoy the sun.
If you have unsightly or painful varicose veins though, throwing on shorts and exposing your legs may leave you feeling more uneasy than relaxed. The specialists at Shore Vascular & Vein Center can help give you a confidence boost by treating your varicose or spider veins. And since treatments are non-invasive, you’ll be able to quickly recover and enjoy these last precious days of summer.

Eat some salt water taffy at the Atlantic City Boardwalk
The Atlantic City Boardwalk is a pretty historic piece of entertainment. Take a walk down the boardwalk and try all the different salt water taffy stores and decide for yourself, who makes the best. You can also enjoy a few rides at Steel Pier or check out the many other attractions along the Boardwalk.
Chow down at the Atlantic City Seafood Festival
If you’re located on an ocean, it makes sense to celebrate the fresh food it delivers. The Seafood Festival brings together culinary personalities and more than 50 restaurants in an extravaganza that will have you experiencing a new side of AC. Spend the day walking around and trying new dishes. Just remember to bring an appetite.
Check out the animals at the animals at the Cape May County Park and Zoo
Explore the 200-acre park that includes picnic areas, fishing ponds, bike paths, playgrounds and even tennis courts then take a look at the more than 500 animals inside the (free!) zoo. There’s also a train and carousel that both operate during the summer.
Experience the Atlantic City Airshow
The “Thunder Over the Boardwalk” airshow has become a summer tradition in Atlantic City. Visit the sunny boardwalk and watch the thrilling Thunderbirds and all the other fantastic aerial show presentations. The event is free, and provides fun for the whole family.
Catch some waves!
Or relax in the sand, because September is one of the best months for the beach. While Labor Day typically symbolizes the end of summer, September is actually one of the best beach months at the Jersey Shore. Don’t let Labor Day end your fun, you can still get out and enjoy the sun and sand, and of course the ocean the rest of the month!
If you’re tired of dealing with spider or varicose veins and want to be able to fully enjoy summer, call Dr. Jeffrey Gosin at Shore Vascular & Vein Center at (609) 927-VEIN (8346) to schedule an appointment. Summer is almost over, don’t waste another day of it!
