KAREN K.
Karen is our clinical manager and has been with us since 1998. She is responsible for overseeing all of the clinical aspects of the practice, including scheduling, insurance authorization and assisting the doctor. She is a health insurance specialist and will work with your insurance provider to obtain appropriate coverage for your treatment. Karen has lived at the Jersey Shore since she was 20 years old. She and her husband have 3 children and recently had their first grandchild. Karen is always available throughout the day to help address any concerns that you may have about any aspect of your care.
CINDY P.
Cindy is one of our receptionists. She joined Shore Vascular & Vein Center in 2016. She has extensive experience in the medical profession, loves working with patients, and prides herself in providing personalized service to everyone who comes to our office. She is an Ocean City native and has 2 children. In her spare time, Cindy enjoys many of the outdoor activities that the Shore has to offer, such as kayaking, biking, and walking.
MARIA N.
Maria, one of our receptionists, has been with Shore Vascular & Vein Center since 2009. She grew up in Atlantic City. After a long career in the casino industry, she changed her focus to the medical field and has been providing excellent assistance to patients since that time. Maria is fluent in both English and Spanish and is able to assist our Spanish speaking patients in understanding all aspects of their care. When she is not working, Maria enjoys spending time with her 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
JOANNA A.
Joanna has been a medical assistant with Shore Vascular & Vein Center since 2014. She began her career with our group as an extern while she was still in school. After graduation, she was offered a position in our office and has been with us ever since that time. Joanna enjoys working as a medical assistant and helping other people. Being fluent in both English and Spanish, she finds it particularly rewarding to help our Spanish speaking patients better understand their condition and treatments. When not working, Joanna enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs.
JOANNE H., R.N., RVT
Joanne has been with our group since 1995 and has had a long and illustrious career in healthcare. Joanne began her career as a critical care nurse. Then in 1985, along with Dr. Stephen Gosin, the founder of our original surgical practice, she helped develop the first noninvasive vascular laboratory in the region. She is a true pioneer and expert in vascular ultrasound. Joanne was the director of the Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory at Shore Medical Center from 1985-2009. During that time, she also performed vascular ultrasound tests in our office. She retired from Shore in 2009, but she has remained active in our office vascular lab since that time. Joanne was instrumental in developing the policies, procedures, and technical qualifications for our office based noninvasive vascular laboratory to achieve and maintain its accreditation through the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. Joanne is constantly complimented not only on her skills as a vascular technologist, but also on her bedside manner and compassion with our patients.
CHERYL G., APN
Cheryl is our nurse practitioner. She earned her Master’s Degree from New York University in 1997. She joined Shore Vascular & Vein Center in 2014. Prior to joining our practice she had experience in Oncology, Infectious Disease and in Cardiology. Cheryl’s primary focus is working with our aesthetic laser patients. While all of the laser procedures are performed by our physician, Dr. Gosin, Cheryl is very knowledgeable in all aspects of laser treatments and works closely with those patients. She assists patients with their pre and post procedural care and helps prepare them for their treatment. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys gardening, volunteer work, reading and spending time with her family.
