
Varithena is an injectable foam used for the treatment of venous reflux and varicose veins. It is a prescription medication that is injected directly into the affected veins, under ultrasound guidance. It causes the treated veins to collapse and be absorbed by the body, improving the symptoms of superficial venous insufficiency and the appearance of visible varicose veins. Varithena may be used in combination with other treatments to eliminate varicose veins are different sizes, in various locations on the legs.
