The Most Advanced Laser Tattoo Removal Available
Featuring the Enlighten III Picosecond Laser
Multiple wavelengths. Both picosecond and nanosecond technology. Treats tattoos of all colors in fewer treatments than with other lasers
We are the first center in the entire Delaware Valley to offer the new Enlighten III™ laser for tattoo removal. Enlighten III™ is the first laser system available to combine both picosecond and nanosecond pulse duration with three specific wavelength lasers. Never before has this combination of power and flexibility been available. This now allows for the treatment of all color tattoos and skin types, even the traditionally very difficult ones, with a single device. With Enlighten III™, most tattoos can be removed more completely, quickly and in far fewer treatments than with other lasers. Fewer treatments means less time, less discomfort and less cost.
Learn about the “pico” difference
Lasers remove tattoos by delivering high energy directly into the ink, breaking it up into tiny particles. Those particles are then able to be eliminated by the body’s own natural immune mechanisms. Inks of different types, colors and depth can provide significant challenges to remove. Our new Enlighten III™ laser can deliver energy at picosecond intervals. A picosecond is one trillionth of a second. This is one thousand times shorter than prior lasers for tattoo removal. Picosecond, sometimes referred to as “pico” , lasers have been shown to remove tattoos more completely and with fewer treatments, than lasers used in the past.

Cost of Laser Tattoo Removal
One of the most common questions receive relates to cost. There are two elements that will determine the total cost to remove a tattoo. These are the size of the tattoo and the number of treatments that will be required. While size is a simple measurement, the number of treatments needed cannot always be accurately predicted. That is because all tattoos are different. Here is some general information that might be helpful
- We offer free consultations for you to get an exact price per treatment as well as a reasonable estimate of the number of treatments needed.
- We do not charge extra for treating colored tattoos
- We offer discount packages for multiple treatments and more than one tattoo
- Our laser treats tattoos faster than other lasers, resulting in lower total cost
Frequently Asked Questions
How many treatments will be needed?
Laser tattoo removal typically takes multiple treatments. That is because tattoo ink is deposited deep into the skin and multiple treatments are usually needed to reach all of the ink and break it up. No two tattoos are exactly the same. They vary in size, location, color, type of ink used and the depth that the ink injected. Therefore, it is impossible to know exactly how many treatments will be needed. Our new Enlighten III™ laser system has been shown to be up to 40% faster in removing tattoos than prior laser systems. We are able to complete treatment of most tattoos in 3 -10 treatments. For comparison, some of the older lasers used at other centers typically require as many as 20 or more treatments for many tattoos.
Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
Most people describe a sensation of a rubber band snapping on the skin when discussing the feeling of laser tattoo removal. It is very well tolerated. In addition, treatments are generally very fast. We provide topical agents to keep the procedure comfortable.
Can a tattoo be partially removed and a new tattoo added to the area?
Yes. It is common for people to want to make a change to a tattoo, rather than having it removed completely. We can remove portions of a tattoo in order to have a new tattoo applied.
Is complete tattoo removal guaranteed?
We cannot guarantee the extent to which your tattoo will ultimately be removed. The endpoint is dependent on many factors which include the type of ink used, the depth at which it was injected, and the color(s) of the tattoo. In addition, the composition of the ink can change over time after it was injected. Our Enlighten III™ laser is very effective in removing most tattoos, even those with a variety of colors. Results have been excellent. However, the final result cannot always be predicted at the very beginning of treatment. Our physician will examine your tattoo and will give you more information, including realistic expectations about results in your particular case
